Lunch Break is a new feature in the DriverApp that allows the drivers to select when they are on their lunch break. During that time the app is locked, and the driver should show as being on their lunch break on the DriverApp page in WMS.
The option to start Lunch Break is in the drawer menu:
Lunch break is limited to one 30-minute break, which is indicated by a countdown 30-minute timer on the Lunch Break screen:
Once the timer starts to count down, there is a 2 minute grace period that allows the drivers to cancel the break in case it was started by mistake, which is indicated by the message:
Text reads: Lunch break has been started. You’ve got a 2-minute grace period – if this was a mistake, please clock out of lunch within the next two minutes. Thanks!
A lunch break notification with a countdown timer appears once the break is started and disappears once it is finished:
During the grace period lunch break can be canceled by tapping finish button or close icon. When pressing close icon, a popup message appears verifying if the user meant to finish and close the lunch break:
If lunch break has not been stopped before 2 minutes, it will block the use of the app, until 30 minutes finished: finish button becomes disabled and 'x' icon gets hidden:
Once the timer has run down, the lunch break will show as completed and the close button and icon would become visible and enabled:
Lunch break option in the drawer menu becomes disabled - greyed out - once the lunch has been completed:
